Hepburn Shire Council adopted the Annual Plan for 2020/2021, this week.
The Annual Plan details how Council will monitor progress on actions contained in the Council Plan.
Mayor, Cr Licia Kokocinski, said the Annual Plan 2020/2021 contains priority projects outlined in the Budget 2020/2021, a number of other actions and projects identified in various strategies adopted by Council and projects identified in the Council Plan 2017-2021.
“It is important to remember that the Annual Plan is not designed to include all programs and projects of Council,” said Cr Kokocinski.
“The Annual Plan is in addition to the regular reporting of all capital works and major operating projects which will continue to occur on a quarterly basis to Council.”Details of all projects, programs and initiatives are included in the adopted Annual Budget and will form part of regular quarterly reporting to Council detailing the progress.
Projects range from capital works construction such as the Clunes Town Hall remedial works and Hepburn Recreation Community Pavilion, to planning for the future with detailed designs to be developed for Trentham Community Hub and the Glenlyon and Trentham Recreation Reserve Community Pavilions.
Also included are a range of smaller works such as the refurbishment of the Creswick Fountain and operational projects such as the development of an Arts and Culture Strategy, a Waste Transition Plan and the implementation of the new Local Government Act, including a Community Engagement Policy.
“For a small rural Council, I’m proud of what we are able to achieve with limited resourcing and funding.
“We have a jam-packed program for the year to come and look forward to the positive impact these projects and initiatives will have in our communities, large and small,” said Cr Kokocinski.
