A list of 23 priority projects have been identified by Hepburn Shire Council as their priority Covid-19 19 stimulus recovery projects.
The projects focus on key tourist attractions, recreation reserves, tracks and trails, historical town halls, roads, footpaths and public amenities.
Hepburn Shire Council CEO Evan King said the projects form part of Council’s long-term investment plan and are In addition to the usual list of infrastructure projects included in each year’s budget.
“Our Investment Plan focuses on our important tourist, community and sporting facilities and the connectivity we can create through tracks, trails, roads and pathways which builds on our tourism offerings,” said Mr King.
“Some of these projects are ready to go, some are in planning stages – all of them need support from Federal and State Government And the private sector to make them happen.
“These Projects will also help create local jobs and stimulate our local economy at a time when it is greatly needed.”
Mr King said the Council’s role now was to advocate for funding and source potential grant funding streams.
