Hepburn Shire Council has created a new grant program in response to Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Coronavirus (COVID-19) Community Support Grant Program aims to support and sustain the community and residents throughout the response and recovery phase of the pandemic.
Mayor Cr Licia Kokocinski said that this is just another way Council is responding to COVID-19 and supporting the community.
“These grants will assist with projects and initiatives that demonstrate immediate benefit to the community and that support vulnerable and isolated community members. We’re keen to hear from applicants that are developing online and e-commerce capabilities to benefit the community. This new program should provide short and long-term support to the community, with projects beyond COVID-19,” said Cr Kokocinski.
There are four categories available for both short and long-term initiatives.
- Quick Response Grants
- Arts and Culture Grants
- Sport and Active Recreation Grants
- Community Support Grants
Existing Hepburn Shire based organisations that are able to apply include:
- Businesses including sole traders who provide sports, arts and culture activities
- Not-for-profit groups including but not limited to sporting and active recreation clubs, art groups, charitable society’s, Neighbourhood Centres and more.
Eligible organisations can apply for immediate funding via the Quick Response Grants, or for one of the three other funding Categories. Previous funding from other Council Grants Programs has no impact on an organisations eligibility to apply.
