Hepburn Shire Council is excited to announce that they will be hosting the inaugural bi-annual Hepburn Shire Business Awards this year. The awards are being introduced to acknowledge the outstanding achievements, professionalism and service our local businesses provide across the Shire.

The awards will be a self-nomination process with an online application form. By entering the awards businesses will have a chance to review their strengths and weaknesses and the opportunity to attend a Business Awards Information Session which will include writing or updating your Business Plan.

There will be seven award categories including:
• Agribusiness
• Creative Industries & IT
• Health & Wellbeing
• Professional Services
• Retail
• Tourism & Hospitality
• Construction, Manufacturing & Trade
The overall Business of the Year winner will be selected from one of the category finalists and decided by independent judges.

Mayor, Cr Licia Kokocinski said the Awards will provide all businesses who are located within the Shire an opportunity to showcase their business and acknowledge their hard work.
“Whether you’re a small to medium business, or even home-based we encourage you to participate in the Business Awards, we would like to acknowledge all business and industries. Supporting local business is vital, as it generates employment opportunities for locals and boosts the local economy.”

“The category finalists and winners, including the overall Business of the Year, will be announced at the Awards dinner. This will be a night to celebrate your success with other local businesses and create new connections.
