The McDonalds Ballarat FNL is pleased to announce that the Western Bulldogs will return in 2020 to support the Ballarat based Under 9 competition on Fridays nights.
Without a doubt the introduction of the Under 9’s in 2019 was a fantastic success, and the league will build on that in 2020 with the inclusion of the newly formed Woady Yaloak Warriors, bringing to nine the number of teams competing.
Again, known as the Western Bulldogs Under 9’s, Friday nights will see families come together with over 400 junior footballers to get a taste of match play in a carnival atmosphere.
The fixture for the 2020 Western Bulldogs Under 9’s has been completed and will see 14 rounds take place with hosting to alternate each week.
Highlights of this year’s fixture include: • Round One on Friday 24th April at Marty Busch Reserve, Sebastopol • Round Two held at Smythesdale Recreation Reserve for the debut of the Woady Yaloak Warriors • Full round byes on the Friday leading into the Queen’s Birthday weekend and middle weekend of the July school holidays. • Final round on Friday 7th August at Eastern Oval, Ballarat
The Western Bulldogs Under 9’s is made up of teams within the Ballarat Area – Bacchus Marsh and Darley juniors will again compete in the successful Under 9 competition based in Melton.
