At Tuesday night’s meeting, Council adopted a new project scope for the Hepburn Hub at The Rex, which includes an additional $3.012 million in funding.

Mayor, Cr Licia Kokocinski, said that Council was keen to get on with the project and get it delivered.

“The Hepburn Hub at The Rex project is an important project for the Hepburn Shire community.  It will deliver a new library, auditorium and community spaces, and improved access to Council services, benefiting all ratepayers.  It also reactivates a much-loved space in the central business district of Daylesford.”

“A Project Control Group will manage the delivery of the Hepburn Hub at The Rex and a report will be provided to Council at every ordinary meeting, ensuring the project stays on track.”

“It has been a challenging project and subject to delays, but Council is committed to delivering this project.”

“We accept the community’s frustration with the delay, but this decision enables us to get on with the job and deliver this important asset for our community,” said Cr Licia Kokocinski.
