Students at Mount Clear College are a step closer to getting the facilities they need for a great start in life, with an architect appointed to design the school’s exciting upgrade.
Member for Buninyong Micheala Settle yesterday announced that Tectura has been appointed to design the school’s $5.5 Million upgrade.
This will see major upgrades to Block A of the College. Block A houses the art, music, drama and science facilities. Students will benefit greatly from these upgrades which will see them have the best facilities for their educational needs.
The Andrews Labor Government has invested $5.6 billion to deliver more than 1,400 school upgrades, supporting over 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.
Under the Labor Government’s school building boom, a total of 100 new schools will open by 2026, ensuring every child has a great local school and a great start in life.
This building boom will continue over the coming years, with the Government having appointed builders to start delivering 11 schools across the state that will open in 2020 and 14 schools that will open in 2021.
The Labor Government is building the Education State to ensure that every student can access a great local school and get a quality education.
“I want to make sure that our regions schools have the best facilities, the best teachers and that every child has the best possible chance to succeed,” Ms Settle said.
“Mt Clear families are now a step closer to having the most up to date local school facilities so that their kids can thrive and succeed.”
