The Ballarat Community Health Expo will be held on Tuesday 27th August to provide an opportunity for health professionals and the community to engage with organisations that provide care, support and services within our region. Particular focus will be on supporting people to be safe and independent in their homes.
The expo is a great opportunity for local health professionals who want to learn more about what support services are available locally, including: doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, medical and nursing students, specialists, discharge planners, practice managers, case managers, and community based support workers.
The event will also be very useful for community members who want to learn more about the local health service providers, with a major focus on aged care, mental, drugs and alcohol, palliative care and equipment services in the region. People are encouraged to come along and speak directly to service providers in a relaxed and friendly environment.
The Expo has been jointly organised by Deakin University, Ballarat Health Services and Central Highlands Primary Care Partnership, with the goal of improving the community’s access to local health services and patient centered care.
Drop in to the Expo between 10.30am-3pm on Tuesday 27th August at Ballarat Health Services in the Gardiner-Pittard building (enter via the main Drummond Street entrance).
Admission is free.
