AFL Goldfields is pleased to announce its Female Football U18 Youth Girls Interleague squad to take on the DUFFL in Mortlake this Thursday 11th July.
AFL Goldfields will be represented by an Under 18 Youth Girls interleague team that features players representing the Ballarat, Maryborough Castlemaine and Riddell regions.
Under 18 team will again be led by Peter Curran, Abbi Bolt and Anna Baxter all of whom have previously coached our Interleague and academy sides.
AFL Goldfields Female Football Manager Krista Woodroffe was really happy with how the U18’s performed against AFL Central Victoria in June.
“It was a hard-fought contest until the final siren. The girls gelled very well, with some brilliant individual efforts across the board. The leadership throughout the team has shown on the training track and in their performances so far.”
“We have such amazing talent at junior level so the future of football in the region looks really bright. Our players and coaches cannot wait to showcase this talent once again against the DUFFL on Thursday.”
