Claire Woods has been appointed Ballarat health Services new Executive Director, People & Culture. Claire will commence with BHS on Monday 5th August.
Claire has worked with Mercy Health for six years, most recently commencing as the General Manager, Human Resources in 2016. In this role she was responsible for approximately 4,200 staff within the health services division, providing HR advice to the group executive in relation to industrial relations matters, including acquisitions, organisational change, employment contracts, HR policies and group wide industrial relations issues.
In 2017/18 Claire led the HR activities associated with the merger of Mercy Health and Southern Cross Care Victoria within the Aged and Community Care divisions. Between 2013-2016 she was Group Human Resources Manager at Mercy Health.
Prior to working at Mercy Health, Claire spent five years as Human Resources Manager with Interact Australia, a support and employment service for people living with a disability. She has also worked with the Victorian Workcover Authority and Bank Australia.
Claire is an innovative senior HR leader with qualifications in law, education and science. She brings a wealth of experience to BHS across a breadth of industries including health, community services and banking.
Claire will continue the work of leading cultural change for the organisation following on from Fiona Brew, former Executive Director, People & Culture. Fiona left BHS in May this year to take up the role of CEO of Colac Health.
