A family day out was held at the National Trust Heritage Listed Anderson’s Mill Heritage Weekend on May 11 and 12.
It was a jam-packed weekend with tours, talks, working waterwheel, heritage engines at work and display from the Victoria Quilters Inc.
The ‘Mills on the Air’ amateur radio groups linked up around Australia and world wide, while the Ballarat Spinners and weavers held demonstrations. There were also a number of other displays and activities.
Anderson’s Mill, Smeaton, is a steam and water powered flour mill built by in 1861 on the banks of Birch Creek.
