Mt Clear’s Nathan Yates has made Ballarat Cricket history, becoming the first player to win a fourth EJ Cleary Medal, Ballarat Cricket’s highest honour.
Nathan was awarded 20 votes, just eclipsing, Golden Point run machine, Josh White, who came home very strong, finishing a great season with 19 votes.
The Bernie Davie medal went to Ballan Cricket Club captain, Michael Snaith, who was a standout winner.
On the night, North Ballarat legend, Peter Thompson was inducted into the Ballarat Cricket Hall of fame.
Other award winners were, Josh White leading run scorer in the 1st XI, Ash McAfferty the leading wicket taker.
The stage is now set for the Grand Final, with East Ballarat facing North Ballarat this Saturday, the game will be played over 4 days, this weekend and next.
