Major upgrade works on Ballarat’s Mair Street will require a full overnight closure to complete works at the Humffray Street North intersection this weekend.
Night works will take place from 7pm Sunday 24 to 7am Monday 25 March
The temporary closure will allow workers to lay the new road surface as quickly as possible, as well as giving the new material adequate time to set, while also minimising disruptions and ensuring the safety of workers.
A 50-metre section of Humffray Street North will also be closed between Mair Street and the Humffray Street North Ambulance Station. This will not impact upon emergency services.
The Ballarat Leagues Club and Rumerz Bottle Shop will still be accessible via the west end of Mair Street during this time.
Works to remove the centre median car parks and three trees along Mair Street between Doveton and Armstrong streets will also be carried out between Monday 25 and Thursday 28 March. These works will be carried out from 8pm each night.
