So ends the home and away season, with Mt Clear finishing on top of the ladder, in second place we have East Ballarat; they will play Golden Point, who finished third, and North Ballarat rounded out the 4, will play Mt Clear for a chance to play off for the Premiership.
Mt Clear finished the season with a comprehensive victory over Buninyong. At St Pat’s, chasing 175, they passed the score within 60 overs. Opener Jacob Smith top scored, with a bit of luck making, 136 from 206 deliveries.
Experienced campaigner, Darren Fletcher scored 58 not out, to go with 3 wickets, last week.
East Ballarat chased down the 172 set by North, Whittaker (61) and Eyers (54) the top scorers.
At the Eastern Oval, Ballarat Redan were bowled all out for 117, chasing a massive 385. Zac Jenkins top scored with 43.
Napoleons, the home team finished the season without a win, being bowled all out for 74, Jason Knowles picked up 5 wickets.
At Wendouree, coming off an embarrassing loss last match, whilst their opponent Darley was coming off victory against top of the ladder Mt Clear, Darley batting first, scored a very competitive 300.
In reply, it was the Col Roscholler show, he had some help from Pyke (64) and a late quick fire (43 from 40) by Buttler, but it was Roscholler who set up the win with a very impressive 151 from 191 rocks.
The Semi Finals will take place over Saturday and Sunday next week. Mt Clear v North Ballarat (Eastern Oval) East Ballarat v Golden Point (Alfredton). Both matches should be great to watch, so if you get a chance they kick off at 1pm next Saturday and will be completed on the Sunday.
