Begonia Courtyard Inspires Relaxation and Pizza

Let your taste buds explore the very best in local produce as you bite into a woodfired pizza from the Forge Pizzeria this Ballarat Begonia Festival.

Join the Forge Pizzeria as you relax with food and drink on the lawn of the Begonia Courtyard this Labour Day long weekend.

The Begonia Courtyard will be located behind the Robert Clark Centre.

The Begonia Bar is also back by popular demand, this year featuring local beers from Red Duck Brewery and Cubby Haus Brewing, wines from Wightwick and gin from Kilderkin Distillery.

You can also discover the variety of savoury options, delicious sweets and coffee on offer throughout the gardens over the three-day festival.

The Ballarat Begonia Festival is presented free by the City of Ballarat.

“The Ballarat Begonia Festival has always been an event that brings our community together and celebrates the beauty of the Botanical Gardens, but that’s not to say it hasn’t evolved,” Cr McIntosh said.

“Just like Ballarat’s burgeoning foodie scene, the Ballarat Begonia Festival has really taken its food and beverage offering up a notch.

“What this has done is provide our visitors with another reason to travel to Ballarat, it has also opened up the festival to a whole new audience who leave inspired to discover more about our city’s foodie offerings.”
