Western Bulldogs Partner With BFNL to Launch Under 9’s Football

With the growth of junior football across the region, the McDonald’s Ballarat FNL is excited to officially introduce an Under 9 competition for 2019.

The league is also excited to announce a partnership with the Western Bulldogs who will be the naming partner and supporter of the program, which will officially be known as the Western Bulldogs Under 9’s.

The partnership between the league and Western Bulldogs further strengthens the club’s commitment to the Ballarat region through the Under 9’s.

McDonald’s Ballarat FNL operations manager Shane Anwyl commented,

“The league is experiencing tremendous growth in the lower age groups of junior football and the addition of an Under 9’s to compliment Auskick will further strengthen and develop boys and girls as they move in to the Ballarat Junior FNL competitions”

The Western Bulldogs Under 9’s will be held each Friday night from April 5th and will run for 14 weeks through the season where all clubs will play each other twice. No games will be held over Easter, Queen’s Birthday of July school holidays.

The games will be played on four smaller ovals on the main grounds under lights in a family friendly atmosphere.

Western Bulldogs Under 9 reserves will play at 6.00pm, with seniors to play at 7.00pm.

From 2019, the Western Bulldogs Under 9’s will incorporate all eight Ballarat based junior clubs. If you have a child who may be looking to get involved and enjoy a great team based activity, contact your nearest Ballarat based junior club for details.
