Twightlight Tours Statues of the Gardens

The Ballarat Botanical Gardens are stunning at any time of the year, not only for the colourful flower beds but for the number of statues that proudly overlook their domain.

The Gardens are well supported by the Friends of the Ballarat Botanical Gardens (FOBBG) and there are a number of groups under this umbrella, one being the Guiding Friends.

On February 8 at 5pm, this group will run a twilight tour ‘Statues of the Garden’ and the public is invited to attend. Meet at the conservatory.

Visitors to the Gardens get a closer look at one of the two marble lions.. These were characteristic of grand entrances in 19th Century landscapes and the lions were also an emblem of the strength of the British nation.
