Central Wendouree Bowling Club

Pam Collins Ladies Triples
The Central Wendouree Bowling Club held their first Ladies triples for this season.
This tournament has been named in honour of respected player Pam Collins.
Players were treated to a light lunch before play commenced. Two games of 13 ends were played. The eventual winners were Jean Burt, Liz Denham and Sue Peters
2nd Place – Heather Hopkinson, Gwen Archibald & Joy Watson
3rd Place – Lyn Kelly, Meryl Holloway, & Glen Cuthbert.
This format of play was the brainchild of Central Wendouree’s Kay Geddes who recognized a need for a Ladies Only competition similar to events held by the Men.
Each Central Wendouree Lady was asked to invite 2 players from other clubs. 32 teams participated. This is the second season that the Ladies Triples has been held. Due to its popularity and success, the Club decided to continue with this format.
Midlands Golf/Bowls Club is holding a similar monthly event for Lady Bowlers. Their first Ladies Triples will be held on Wednesday 28th November.
