NAB AFL Women’s Draft

Five AFL Goldfields female footballers have been selected by AFL clubs at the 2018 NAB AFL Women’s Draft.
Ballarat’s Sophie Van De Huevel was selected by Geelong with Pick 2; Carisbrook’s Lauren Butler was selected by Collingwood with Pick 18; Ararat’s Georgia Clarke was selected with Pick 24 by Geelong; Redan’s Sophie Alexander who was selected by Collingwood with Pick 29 and Redan’s Maighan Fogus was selected by Geelong with Pick 47.
AFL Goldfields are proud of the girls who have taken such leaps and bounds over the last couple of years in terms of their football development, it is a credit to their coaches, parents and supports staff who have assisted in each individual’s growth during their football careers thus far.
